CASE STUDY · MULTIPLE BRANDS

Three companies, one engine

Three companies sit around Brinxx: Brinxx itself as supplier, Promotionalz as distributor and Moxz as own brand. Each with its own name, range and prices — and all three on the same Magic Studio. Since 2025 a quoting agent sits in between, preparing quotes.

The situation

Three companies side by side makes commercial sense and is technically annoying. Brinxx supplies, Promotionalz resells and Moxz is the own brand: three conversations with three markets, each with its own customers and margins. Each company therefore wants its own face, its own address and its own price list.

But nobody wants to maintain the product data three times, cut out a photo three times or enter the same decoration price breaks three times. And certainly nobody wants to calculate the same quote three times. The work that is identical behind the three screens has to happen once, while everything the customer sees differs per company.

The challenge

The brands had to be genuinely separate — different range, different pricing, their own address, their own design — and share the same catalogue and back office at the same time. Duplicate product data would drift apart within a month; that is not a prediction but experience.

There was a practical problem on top of that. Two brands on one technical environment means a visitor to one brand must never accidentally see the prices or products of the other. That has to be arranged in the data and not in the layout, because layout leaks.

How we did it

The second sales environment runs as its own environment on the same engine: its own sales channel, its own key and its own address, with the brand as a switch in the configuration. What is shared stays shared: the product data, the images, the print areas and the techniques. What is their own is genuinely their own: range, prices and design.

For Moxz the own brand was taken into the same PIM as the large suppliers — 26 products today — so every distributor working with us can put the Moxz products straight into their own environment. On top of that sits the quoting agent, since 2025. It reads the request, finds the product in the catalogue, picks the technique, calculates the price breaks and prepares the quote. Inside sales checks and sends: the agent prepares, the human decides.

The result

The difference shows in what a fourth brand would cost. Adding a brand here is a configuration: a sales channel, a key, an address and a design. It is not a second system with its own catalogue that drifts out of line afterwards, and that is the difference between days and months.

What we cannot prove is listed as an open point: we estimate the agent prepares about 380 quotes a month, and that figure has to be confirmed together with the period it covers.

Three companies live on one engine

Without anyone updating product data more than once. Photos, print areas and techniques are shared; range, prices and design are per company.

Adding a brand is a configuration

Not a second system. Its own sales channel, key and address, with the brand as a switch in the configuration.

About 380 quotes a month

Prepared by the quoting agent at the Brinxx group since 2025. Inside sales checks and sends.

What runs today

Both sales environments run side by side on the same engine, with the Moxz products in the same PIM as the eight supplier feeds. The quoting agent sits in between and delivers drafts that inside sales reviews.

Two points are still open on our side: search in the second environment and photo synchronisation for two suppliers. We would rather name that ourselves than have you discover it, but whether it belongs on the site or only in the project overview is not ours alone to decide.

What the customer says about it

This quotation is a draft. We wrote it down the way we understood it from the conversations, so that it can be put to the customer. It only goes live once the customer has approved it word for word and the name and role are in place.

“We run three brands on one catalogue. Adding a brand costs us an afternoon, not a project.”

Three stories that belong with this one

The cases are connected: the same catalogue, the same technique rules and the same agent come back in several stories. These three sit closest to what you have just read.
