What we store, and what for

This page describes what this site puts in your browser, what it is for and how you change your choice. Anything we cannot substantiate is listed as an open point rather than as a certainty.

What this is about

Three things and no more

A cookie is a small file a website puts in your browser so that it recognises you next time. This site uses that sparingly, and for three things: remembering which language you read in, remembering what you chose in the bar at the bottom, and measuring which pages get read. There is no advertising network on this site, we do not sell visitor profiles, and we do not link your visit to the data in your environment if you are a customer.

Alongside cookies there is local storage: the same kind of space in your browser, but without an expiry date and without being sent along with every request. That is where we keep your choice from the cookie bar, under the name cookie_consent, with the value “all cookies” or “necessary only”. We say so explicitly, because a cookie policy that only talks about cookies and leaves out local storage gives an incomplete picture.

What we do not use it for

We use no advertising cookies and no cookies from social networks. We do not share visit data with advertisers and we do not use your data to train third-party models. What we measure, we use to see which pages get read and where people drop off — not to follow you personally across other websites.

Why third parties appear in the list anyway

Two parts of this site come from outside: the Google Analytics measurement and, on the forms of the product pages, the Google reCAPTCHA spam check. Those parties place their own cookies and see your IP address in the process. Exactly which cookies those are and how long they last is determined by Google and not by us; that is why those two rows below carry no fixed period instead of a number we cannot verify.

By type

What is actually placed today

Below is what this site puts in your browser, read from our own code and not copied from a template. Two rows are functional: without those two the site does not know which language you read in and asks you again every time what you think of cookies. One row is measurement and one belongs to the spam check on forms.

What is not in it is deliberately not in it: we name no cookie names and no retention periods from Google, because those are not in our code and we cannot substantiate them. The measurement from our hosting platform is listed without a period as well. As soon as that has been checked this table will be completed — and not before.

As at 20 September 2026, read from the code of this site. The typefaces come from our own domain, so no request goes to Google Fonts for them. The <head> does carry one stylesheet from cdnjs.cloudflare.com; that is a request to an external party, and that party sees your IP address.

Your choice

How to change or withdraw it

The bar at the bottom appears as long as you have not chosen anything. Once you have chosen, that choice stays in your browser's local storage and the bar does not come back. If you want to choose differently, clear this site's storage in your browser: that is in your browser settings under site settings or clearing data for this site. The bar then appears again and you choose again.

Separately, you can always block or delete cookies in your browser, and Google offers an opt-out for its own measurement. If you block everything the site keeps working: you will just land on the Dutch version more often and see the bar every time, because remembering those two things is exactly what gets stored.

  1. 1Open your browser's settings for this site and clear the data stored for it.
  2. 2Refresh the page; the bar at the bottom will appear again.
  3. 3Choose again: all cookies or necessary only.
  4. 4To remove Google's cookies as well, delete them via your browser or via Google's opt-out.

The bar then comes back and your previous choice is dropped. If you choose “necessary only” again, the Google measurement stops immediately.

The rest in writing

What else is set down

Cookies are one part of the story. What we do with personal data, how long we keep it and which rights you have is in the privacy statement. The terms and conditions describe the arrangements around the use of our environments, and the delivery terms cover delivery and payment.

Do you have a question about what is written here, or do you see something you think is wrong? Let us know. We would rather change this page than leave a text standing that no longer describes what the site does.

A question about what we store?

Just ask it. You will get an answer from someone who can open the code of this site, not a pointer to a standard text.

If you want to know what we do with personal data, that is in the privacy statement.
