CASE STUDY · OWN BRAND IN THE TRADE

An own brand that is easy to resell

Moxz supplies the trade. So the catalogue must not only look good to the end customer, but above all be usable for the reseller: clean data, good images and clear pricing agreements. Today 26 Moxz products sit in the same PIM as the eight large suppliers.

The situation

A distributor chooses what is easy to sell. That is not a matter of taste but of work: a product with complete specifications, photos per colour, texts in the right language and usable decoration data costs them a quarter of an hour to take on.

A product with an Excel and three photos costs them an afternoon — and they will not spend that afternoon. So a good product disappears from a catalogue without anyone ever saying no: it simply never gets in, and the manufacturer never hears why.

The challenge

An own brand has to fit a distributor's catalogue as well as a large supplier's brand, but it has no department building feeds. There is no team exporting per language or delivering price breaks per technique.

So it had to land in our own PIM with the same fields, the same languages and the same print areas as the big eight, so every distributor working with us can take the products on without extra work. Not an exception with its own import script, but a supplier like all the others.

How we did it

The Moxz range sits in the same PIM as New Wave, PF Concept, Mid Ocean, XD Connects, Toppoint, Spranz and Langenberg, with the same structure and the same translation layer.

So there is no separate import process: a distributor using our PIM already has Moxz in it. That is the difference between offering a brand and having a brand available — in the first case someone has to do work to take you on, in the second you are already there.

The result

What Moxz gained is not a campaign but a place. The products sit in the same structure as the large suppliers, with the same fields and the same languages, so there is no threshold left to take them on.

What we do not add: how many distributors have taken the products on, and whether the range keeps growing. That was not tracked and is listed below as an open point. We report 26 products because that is the number in the PIM today.

26 products in the same structure

As the large suppliers, with the same fields, languages and print areas. Measured 20 September 2026.

No separate import process

For distributors working on our PIM: whoever uses the PIM already has Moxz in it.

What runs today

The 26 products sit in the PIM beside the eight supplier feeds and come along in the sales environments running on that catalogue, among them Promotionalz. For print areas and techniques the same layer applies as for the other brands.

If the range grows, that is not a new project but an extension of the same structure. What exactly will be added and when is not settled, so we do not put it on the site as a plan.

What the customer says about it

This quotation is a draft. We wrote it down the way we understood it from the conversations, so that it can be put to the customer. It only goes live once the customer has approved it word for word and the name and role are in place.

“Our products are in the distributor's catalogue without him having to call us.”

Send us your range as it is now. We show what a distributor makes of it: which fields are missing, which languages stay empty and which decoration data is needed to be taken on in a quarter of an hour instead of an afternoon.
